The Fluid Mechanics Laboratory provides real-time exposure to flow measurements, pumps, turbines, and hydraulic systems, strengthening students’ understanding of industrial fluid behavior. In the Manufacturing Technology Laboratory, students work with lathes, milling machines, drilling setups, welding units, and CNC basics, gaining expertise in machining, fabrication, and production engineering. The Dynamics Laboratory supports experiments in vibrations, balancing, and motion analysis—critical for machine design, robotics, and automation.
The department also features a modern CAD/CAM Laboratory, where students utilize advanced engineering software for 3D modeling, simulation, product design, and prototype development, aligning education with industry 4.0 standards. Spacious classrooms, workshops, and project studios support collaborative learning, technical creativity, and problem-solving.
With industrial visits, technical seminars, internships, and project-based training, the Mechanical Engineering Department at Maratha Mandal College ensures students are prepared for careers in manufacturing, automotive engineering, thermal engineering, product design, maintenance, and emerging technological fields. The program consistently produces graduates with strong technical knowledge, professional confidence, and industry relevance.
The Mechanical Engineering Department at Maratha Mandal College, Belagavi, is dedicated to developing highly skilled, innovative, and industry-ready mechanical engineers. As one of the most sought-after engineering programs in Karnataka, the department integrates strong academic fundamentals with advanced practical training, ensuring students gain in-depth knowledge of core mechanical engineering concepts, modern technologies, and industrial applications.
A major strength of the department is its state-of-the-art Mechanical Engineering laboratories, designed to enhance technical learning and hands-on competency. The Strength of Materials Laboratory helps students analyze material properties, stress–strain behavior, and structural performance—key components in mechanical design. The Thermal Engineering Laboratory, equipped with IC engines, heat transfer equipment, and refrigeration systems, allows learners to explore energy systems, thermodynamics, and thermal processes essential in the automotive and power sectors.
